Trampoline League Finals 2017 Event Recap

This weekend we had a fantastic weekend at the Lee Valley Park Velodrome for the Trampoline League Finals. Where we saw 5 of our competitors take part – Emil (11- 12 male league 3), Layla (9-10 female league 3), Jake (17-18 male league 2), Vicky (17-18 female league 2) and Nicola (17+ league 1 and 15+ female superleague).

We started off the first day of the event early with Emil and Layla competing in the first flights. Emil started off with a great set routine scoring a total of 35.4 points, unfortunately his voluntary routine didn’t go to plan. Layla completed two clean routines scoring a total of 68.63 points and finishing in 18th place.

In the afternoon Nicola competed in the 17+ female league 1 completing two stunning routines to qualify for Sunday’s zero final in first place. Vicky completed two solid routines finishing in 9th narrowly missing out on Sunday’s final. To finish off the day we had Jake who competed two good routines qualifying in 4th place and through to Sunday’s zero finals.

Sunday saw Jake and Nicola compete in the two 8 of their groups. Jake did a great routine totaling 44.34 points to finish in 5th place. Nicola jumped in both the 15+ female superleague and 17+ female league one. Firstly finishing 4th in the 15+ female superleague narrowly missing out on a medal position. Shortly after Nicola competed in the 17+ female league 1 zero final, finishing in 1st place and becoming the 17+ female league 1 champion for the 2017 Trampoline league.

Lastly, we would like to say a huge thanks to our Judges Richard and Jessica for allowing us to take part in these competitions.
